Agenda/Blog
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I hope everyone is enjoying our beautiful weather! It is so nice to see active living through bike riding and walking to school at this time of year! This week for our spelling test we will be reviewing long vowel words. This will therefore be the last week on long vowel words, so please make sure you really practice to ensure that we are all masters moving into our next grade! Skipping Club starts tomorrow! For those that have already returned forms, please meet at our entrance doors (not the main doors) at 8:00am. Doors will no longer be open at 8:10, as I will then be at the skipping club! Please be on time. We will be having a presentation from a Physical Therapist on Friday! She will be leading our group through developing various gross motor coordination skills! Spring Clean Up will also be on Friday. We will be collaborating with our buddy class (Ms. Lunnin, Room 2) to help clean up an area of the field, now that all the snow has melted. Finally, we will be taking home our Mother's Day crafts on Friday! We have also begun preparing for our Assembly on May 31st. If you would like, feel free to practice the song at home: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypVQDZL18SQ We are also collaboratively writing a fictional math story! So fun! Take a look at what we have so far: Problem: Rectangular prism gets squished into a rectangle. All the shapes try to help but they get squished flat too! Characters: Riley the Rectangular prism (MC), Connie the Cone, Sam the Sphere, Sawyer the Cylinder, Pete the Pyramid, Conner the Cube Setting: On a road Homework: Think about a possible solution! Leave a comment below stating one type of measurement that we have been learning about in class.
