Dear Parents/Guardians,
I have updated your child's reading level (if necessary) on RazKids. Please be sure that your child is logging on to listen to reading, read, and answer comprehension questions often! It is a great resource. Additionally, please note that the RazKids levels are NOT the same as our reading level assessments used within the school. As the levels get higher in RazKids, they do NOT necessarily correspond. For example, a reading assessment level of O corresponds to level S on RazKids. Please feel free to contact me should you require further clarification. P.S. Check out the Gallery for updated pictures of our jersey day and the Grade 1 field trip to Heritage Park! Thanks, Miss Murphy Spelling:
PD Day Friday - no school for students. Volunteer/Community Tea April 27 - please RSVP. How to Build a Snowman book was due yesterday. Please hand in ASAP. Spelling - Long A Words
Wear a jersey or green/gold on Friday for the Humboldt Broncos. Swim form and payment due tomorrow. Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome back to school! It was very nice to meet with everyone at our Student-Led Conferences, and I hope everyone had an enjoyable Spring Break. We certainly will have a busy remainder of our school year! First, the Grade 1s received their Heritage Park field trip forms yesterday. Please return the form and payment ASAP, as the trip is already on Tuesday! Additionally, if you are able to volunteer, please fill out the slip indicating so. On this day, there will be a substitute in the classroom to teach the Grade 2s. It will be a small class so I'm sure that there will be lots of work done that day for my Grade 2 students! The Grade 2s will be going on a field trip to the Calgary Tower at the end of May. The field trip form for this will come home at a later date. Next, the students received their Swimming Forms for our swimming program at the beginning of May. We do require volunteers, and specifically at least one male volunteer. Please return the slip indicating if you are available. Payment for the Swimming Program is due next Thursday. Spelling test Friday:
Inline Skating is tonight at 5:30-7:30pm. The cost for each participant is $3. Have fun! Things we are learning about in class:
