Your homework is to watch the Olympics at home! Can you name the events that you watch? Can you name an athlete that we have talked about in class? Discuss with your parents at home.
Valentine's Day party on Wednesday afternoon. Please check agenda message for note if you are responsible for bringing a snack in for the party. 100th day of school Wednesday! Woo hoo! We will be doing MANY learning activities about the 100th day of school this week! Tell your parents about some of the activities about the 100th day of school we did today! Teachers' Convention is Thursday and Friday this week. There is therefore no school for students on these days. Family Day is Monday, February 19th. No school. Today we started our Sound Kreations residency! Our teacher's name is Miss Cody! Can you show your parents the dance steps at home? I have created a spelling list this week of Valentine's Day words. Students will continue to practice this for the first 20 minutes of school every day, however, there will not be a test this week due to the shortened week. It is more so just for fun and to maintain routine. Coco Brooks fundraiser continues this week. Help our Grade 5/6s pay for Outdoor School =) What was your favourite part of school today? (Ideas: Olympics, 100 math equations, math centres, science centres, dancing, buddies, indoor recess, outdoor lunch, etc.) ~Miss Murphy

This weekend I watched Luge, Speedskating, Figure Skating and some of the Aerial competition. My favourite was the Luge. I would like to try Luge one day.
